EXPERIENCE OVER PRODUCTION
LEAVE NO TRACE
We are the 'Rocky Mountain Wedding Collective'. A team of mountain dwelling, adventure seekers who naturally connected people and created inspiring experiences before we knew it was called wedding planning!
We all live in the Bow Valley (Canmore and Banff) and share a love for supporting local. We take our jobs seriously, but not ourselves. We have so much fun brainstorming beautiful things together, celebrating the small moments, and laughing till our cheeks hurt. We can't wait for you to join in on the good times.
Well hello you!
We're not like the wedding planners you've seen on TV. You know, the ones with the headsets, a million checklists and an uncanny ability to speed walk in stilettos without tripping.
Aside from the checklists, which really are necessary, we do things differently and connect best with couples who want to approach their wedding unconventionally too. We value experience over production and aim to craft moments of meaningful human connection because that's what a wedding is all about.
Sipper of coffee and craft beer. Wearer of toques and Blundstones. Pup mom. Avid supporter of local food & local business. Part-time backcountry explorer.
My partner and I reside in Banff, with our pup Casey, and spend most of our spare time camping, hiking, and skiing. Hailing from Ontario, and always up for an adventure, I now know I was destined for the Rocky Mountains.
My passion has always been people-focused. With over 10 years in the hospitality & events industry, I was very much attracted to engaging with people, understanding their needs and looking to go above and beyond to fulfill them.
Building and maintaining relationships is what drives my purpose as the lead Banff Wedding Planner of Rocky Mountain Elopements.
I can’t wait to connect with you, and help you plan your dream one-of-a-kind wedding or intimate elopement in Banff, Canmore or surrounding areas.
I moved here from England in 2018, and I’ve never looked back. There’s something incredible about the mountains, the natural beauty and the fresh air, that make it an amazing place to live and work.
It’s the main reason I love my job. What could be better than planning the biggest day of peoples lives in such amazing surroundings, seeing the look on the faces of couples and their guests that are experiencing the area for the first time.
I love meeting new people, and learning new things from them, so I’ve always enjoyed working in weddings and events. Whether it’s just the couple who wish to escape to the mountains to elope, or hundreds of guests witnessing their friends or relatives tying the knot in a grand venue here, the energy I get from my work is a real thrill, and an addictive one at that.
I like to be busy, and variety keeps me on my toes. Every wedding I plan and coordinate is different, it’s unique, whatever the couple dream up for their big day, I endeavour to make it happen. It gives me more stories to tell, and I’m looking forward to creating yours with you.
I believe the best things I’ve achieved have come from living outside my comfort zone. You can barely see my eyes when I laugh. I own more toques than I should. I don’t do fancy things, can’t quote movies, and likely won’t know your pop culture reference. I drink too much coffee, go to bed too early, and say ‘yes’ too often.
As a recently retired Optometrist, that now proudly leads a dream team at Rocky Mountain Wedding & Events, my journey and purpose in life is solely focused on my passion for the local wedding industry.
I have lived, worked, and explored the area for 6 years now, and as a result have a wealth of knowledge on unique locations and experiences for weddings in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. All I want to do is share them with YOU!
If you want to explore some of my adventures, you can find me documenting love stories with our sister company Rocky Mountain Photo Co. Between celebrating with couples - I am likely visiting my family back in Saskatchewan, golfing, camping, and enjoying this beautiful place I now call home.
I can’t wait to share my energy with you.
